We are currently looking for a BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST to join our team in BOSTON, MA. Job Responsibilities: In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing, administering, and supporting various modules of the Lawson ERP System, as well as ancillary responsibility for development and support of other financial applications within a team environment. We seek an experienced professional who will be able to lead initiatives including interacting with the vendor and customer in an effort to design solutions. To succeed, one must possess strong communications skills and experience dealing with conflicting priorities. Required Skills: Minimum of 5 + years progressive experience in systems analysis/programming (with an ERP system) using specialized languages in any combination of pertinent education and experience. Ability to translate high-level specifications for software components into designs and implements the designs. Experience planning, conducting and coordinating programming application activities. Experience with analysis, design and implementation of business application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business problems, questions or processes. Ability to develop statements of problems and requirements, designs systems and programs (writes code). Knowledge of computer hardware and software subject matter to be programmed in business applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Experience developing detailed implementation and upgrade project plans in conjunction with other account team associates. Ability to classify problems as system, training, or process and recommends corrections. Ability to provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. Experience reviewing system test plans and system tests modules before implementation and reviews end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, and training materials) for accuracy. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Desired Skills: Experience with Lawson. Experience with 4GL development. Experience with MicroFocus COBOL. SQL development experience.
