LVN with Managed Care/Prior notification experience. Must have the ability to communicate over the phone to determine medical authorization of both inpatient and outpatient services. The primary responsibilities would include: Contacting providers to request supporting demographic and clinical information, Determining approval or denial based on medical necessity, MR or state specific guidelines, and other internal policies and procedures, Acting as a liaison/consultant for medical-related issues to internal and external customers/clients. Demonstrated clinical and managed care experience is required. Requires attention to detail and ability to prioritize. The ability to work autonomously is a must. Must be a team player Computer proficiency is necessary. Excellent written/verbal/phone communication skills are also essential. MUST HAVE ADVANCED COMPUTER SKILL SETS. Experience with Word, Excel, and Lotus notes is preferred. CarePlanner experience is also a plus but training will be provided. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH MANAGED HEALTHCARE COMPANY, PRIOR AUTHORIZATION UNIT OR CALL CENTER. Position is 40 hours/week from 9-5:30 M-F.
