Looking for a Senior Editor / Proposal ManagerPurpose of Job:Plan, develop, write, edit and manage proposal and RFP responses that result in new business or preservation of existing business for Ovations and its business segments.Job Components:1. Review RFP/RFQ/RFI for requirements and develop detailed response work plan.2. Write, edit, proof and coordinate content as lead writer or as member of the writing team, for RFP/RFQ/RFI responses.3. Lead and coordinate, content gathering and activities of, subject matter experts via various forums. Negotiate textual modifications with originating author and the appropriate subject matter expert.4. Prepare/draft clear, concise and accurate responses that speak to the intended audience and that comply with business, regulatory and contractual requirements.5. Write succinct but compelling messages in a persuasive style that sell the audience. 6. Organize and format proposal responses, identify inconsistencies or gaps in the document or its content. 7. Edit new or existing content to re-purpose content, correct errors, add material and update to current company style guide standards, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, style and graphics. 8. Perform secondary editor review of documents to ensure compliance with company quality standards.9. Ensure that all proposal documents are aesthetically pleasing, produced to the highest quality standards, and delivered within deadlines.10. Manage workload and prioritize activities to ensure timely completion of assignments.11. Efficiently provide accurate responses to specific requests for information.12. Manage the proposal production process, including oversight of production coordinator activities.13. Oversee the process by which quality checks are conducted for each proposal and other documents, to ensure adherence to quality standards.14. Preserve the confidentiality of highly sensitive financial, enrollee and competitive information that is provided for proposal development.15. Recommend to Director of Proposal Group and implement modification in policies and procedures to improve the proposal process and address the needs of internal customers.16. Ensure that new information is incorporated appropriately into all components of the information infrastructure.17. Contribute to overall processes within the proposal group, including collecting and reporting accurate data about activities and accomplishments in the areas of systems, documentation and internal procedures, that contribute to overall quality management activities. Generate periodic and ad hoc reports.18. Contribute as a member of the proposal group, to assist in development and implementation of strategic direction.19. Other duties or assignments as designated by manager.Qualifications:1. Bachelor s Degree with a focus in journalism or related field required.2. 5+ years of experience leading and developing proposals and responses to RFP/RFR/RFI requests.3. 3+ years of related business experience in composition/preparation of proposal content, business. analysis, healthcare, clinical, market research, product development, and operational planning.4. Outstanding Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio and Project skills.5. Capable of managing a variety of complex projects while driving momentum on Key projects.6. Persuasive writing style.7. Ability to write a succinct but compelling message.8. Excellent writing/editing/proofreading skills.Strong communication and analytical skillsLenth: 2 - 6 month with potential breaks based on business needs (Managers agreed it would be a total of 3 month 40 hours) Contractors Needed: 4 - 6Competencies and Best Practice for High Performers:1.
