We are currently looking for a Senior Network Design Specialist to join our team in Rancho Cordova, CA. ** This is a hands-on Design and Implementation position ** Job Responsibilities: Design, configure and implement Cisco-based network equipment. Provide management of cable vendor to permit proper installation of equipment. Coordinate with facilities operations for to provide appropriate environment. Coordinate with user community and Change Management team to schedule downtimes. Provide documentation as required including Visio diagrams, Inventory and IP management spreadsheets and others as required. Troubleshoot installation issues to resolve design and operational problems. Required Skills and Abilities: 5+ years hands-on experience in each of the following: Cisco 6500 / 4500 / 3650 / 3750 configuration, WAN (T1, DS3) configuration, LAN Configuration (HSRP, GLBP, Port-channel, VLAN, trunks, ports), basic network security, MDF/ IDF closet build-out and physical installation Able to lift 75lbs. on a consistent basis Previous healthcare experience. 2+ years of Cisco Aironet and Controller based wireless installation and troubleshooting experience Minimum Educational Requirements: 2 years AS / AA in Information Systems, Computer Science or related Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials: Prefer CCNP and/or CCIE Position will be based in Rancho Cordova, California but will include travel to the San Francisco Bay area, Redding, Stockton, Merced and the Central Coast. Duration: 12 Month
